Mr. Arunav Sharma established the Rising Sun Energy group in 2014 at the age of 25 years with an initial capital of INR 3,00,000
Post tie-up with initial investors, the group won the bid for setting up 2 x 87.5 MWp solar PV power projects in Bhadla Solar-park, Rajasthan, which is India’s biggest solar park. The PPAs for the projects were executed with NTPC Limited at a fixed tariff of Rs. 4.35 per unit for a period of 25 years. This was the second lowest tariff for solar PV power projects in India at that time
The Commercial Operations Date for the Bhadla Projects was achieved in parts between September to December 2017
In order to fuel the long-term growth of the group, RSE partnered with a strategic investor in the form of Yinson Group. With the completion of the partnership, the Rising Sun Energy entities became a part of Yinson Holdings Berhad
Within 3 months of the acquisition by Yinson, the group was awarded a bid for developing a 285 MWp solar power project in the Nokh Solar Park, Rajasthan with NTPC being the procurer for the project power for a period of 25 years
The company completed the construction of the contracted capacity under the PPA and obtained approval from CEA indicating that the project is ready for energization.
